Welcome to the Summer Capital of The Philippines!

Baguio Written by: Angelica Mariel Samaniego Alao Summer Capital of the Philippines Baguio is one of the most well known travel destinations in the Philippines. It has been visited by millions of tourists over the years. It is more commonly known as the summer capital of the Philippines - a city among the clouds as they say. People have been constantly amazed by the charms and uniqueness that Baguio presents. It was first built for Americans so that they will be able to experience a colder climate compared to that of Manila.  As Baguio became more well known to people the locals and residents have had to reinvent Baguio to be able to provide the needs of their tourists. Although Baguio has been a national tourist spot the local government has been able to keep it`s unique and colorful identity. As there are no more direct flights to Baguio and to be able to have a more affordable trip my family opted to avail tickets on a bus that is directly travelling to

Wonders of Vigan

Vigan Written by: Angelica Mariel Samaniego Alao Trip down memory lane Vigan City is located in the northwest part of Luzon. It is more widely known for its preserved Spanish colonial buildings and architectures. In May 2015 Vigan was oficially recognized as a part of the New7 Wonders Cities along with other major cities around the world such as  Beirut, Doha, Durban, Havana, Kuala Lumpur and La Paz. Vigan is already a UNESCO World Heritage Site considering it is one of the few Hispanic towns left in the Philippines with intact and preserved buildings and architectures. With the city being recognized internationally, you`d see that more tourists would be attracted to visit and see the beauty of Vigan for themselves.  As Vigan is found in the northern part of the Philippines you`d expect how long the travel time would be, from Manila to Vigan passing through the MacArthur highway it would take at most 6 hours and 45 minutes to 7 hours to get to Vigan proper. Time To See Cebu

Cebu The Gateway to a Thousand Journeys      Cebu is known to be the oldest city and the first capital of the Philippines. In 1521, Ferdinand Magellan started the Spanish exploration and colonization in this city. But now, it is considered to be one of the most developed cities of the country being the second largest metropolitan area after Metro Manila.        This city has a lot of historical sites to show from old churches and chapels to former forts turned museums; however, this is not all Cebu has to offer. It is also the home of beautiful beaches and islands. They've got the urban and provincial life in one marvelous city. And don't get me started with the residents. Cebuanos are notable for their God-given talents and friendly attitude. There are over 120 famous people that are from this province such as Kim Chui, Lucio Tan, Enrique Gil, and much more. And they have contributed much to the culture and various industries of the country. As Karencitta sa

Travel To Tagaytay

TAGAYTAY! Second Summer Capital of the Philippines Retrieved from https://www.booking.com         My family and I frequently go to Tagaytay for vacation. It is a city located in the province of Cavite. As it is only around 60 kilometers from Metro Manila, it is very convenient and accessible. Even with the traffic jams because of the many tourists, it was still easy to go around here and explore. The stunning scenery was really worthwhile. In addition to this, there were many easily-accessible restaurants everywhere so our stay there went really well. Retrieved from nodoors.blogspot.com           We stayed in The Boutique Bed and Breakfast, which was located in Aguinaldo Highway. What really impressed me was the interior of the rooms. The four-poster bed and the terrace were really amazing. The staff were very nice and they catered to our every need. If you want to chill, you can just go to the patio upstairs where there were tables, swings and couches. T
